"UMBRELLAS FOR PEACE"
On September 2010 I presented "Umbrellas for Peace" the "Vigil for International Peace & Ecology 2010". I thank Susana Bastarrica and her artist colaborators who invite me again this year to create a new project for the stage.
I thought to share this great oportunity with my art students and artist friends asking them to create an "Umbrella for Peace" inspired in the world peace, peace of our surrounding and peace of ourselves.
I am very happy with the entusiastic respond to this project. All the artist were working wth their own artwork in the umbrellas which were part of the installation at the Central Park Bandshell.
It is was an honor for me to create this installation with the work of such a wonderfull group of artists and for the IX Vigil for International Peace & Ecology.
“Umbrellas for Peace Preview" took place at the Queens Museum of Art.
On "Peace Day" the installation “Umbrellas for Peace” was exibit at the Petrosino Square, in Soho, New York.
